VI Peels

At Peak Aesthetics and Wellness we are excited to offer VI Peel. VI Peel is a company founded by Dr Abdala Khalil in an effort to create a custom chemical peel for his daughter’s hormonal cystic acne. Unfortunately, at the time, there weren’t any peels safe for skin of color. From that, Dr Khalil has grown a company around making chemical peels that are safe no matter your ethnicity. In addition, the peels have fantastic results because they combine several ingredients to address primary as well as secondary concerns. VI Peel patients are also provided an at-home care kit that will be explained thoroughly at the end of the appointment. Patients can also downlaod an app that will send reminders on when to use the towelettes and post-treatment repair cream.

We carry all 5 peels to help people with a variety of skin conditions.

1. VI Peel Original is great for patients who are new to chemical peels, those with sensitive skin, early signs of aging, and rough texture. This peel is safe for Fitzpatrick types 1-VI and is considered a medium-depth peel. Patients see results in 7 days. Active ingredients are TCA, phenol, salicyclic acid, retinoic acid, and ascorbic acid.
2. VI Peel Advanced is for aging skin (40+), wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity. It is also safer for all skin types and is a medium-depth peel with TCA, phenol, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, ascorbic acid, and advanced booster.
3. VI Peel Precision Plus is our most popular peel as it is spetacular for UV-induced hyperpigmentation, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It promotes cell turnover and exfoliates to diminish pigmentation and texure changes. It is a medium-depth peel suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin type with TCA, phenol, salicyclic acid, retinoic acid, and ascorbic acid. There is an additional lighten booster with TCA ascorbic acid, retinoic acid, hydroquinone, kojic acid, and salicylic acid.
4. VI Peel Purify is a great place to start for those patients with active acne, breakout-prone skin, oily or congested skin, and teen acne. We also recommend purify for those patients with elevated sebum production commonly seen in Hispanic and Middle-Eastern patients. It is safe for all skin types and is a medium-depth peel containing TCA, phenol, salicyclic acid, retinoic acid, ascorbic acid, benzoyl peroxide, kojic acid, and hydrocortisone.
5. VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus is customized for patients with excessively oily skin, adult acne, acne scarring, acne with hyperpigmentation, and elevated sebum production. Safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types, this is a medium-depth peel with TCA, phenol, salicyclic acid, retinoic acid, ascorbic acid, benzoyl peroxide, kojic acid, hydrocortisone, hydroquinone, kojic acid, and salicylic acid.

Each peel comes with a take-home kit specific for your skin type and written instructions. Most patients benefit from a series of peels done several weeks apart. This often yeilds your best results.
